Deadline - You can't keep building your MVP as there is a deadline for your submission.
You have to cover your bases like problem statement, demo video, future plans for your product in your presentation.

If you win, you get seed funding for your startup, publicity for your product. If you don't win, you have the MVP for your product which you can develop further.
